First, let’s check to see if you have TeamViewer installed. Click your Start Button (bottom-left corner) and type ‘TeamViewer’. If you see the TeamViewer App, click on it to find your TeamViewer ID and Password, and complete the ‘disable sleep features’ section below.
You must disable some of the ‘Sleep’ features of your PC. To do so:
- Click your Start Button (4-square icon at the bottom-left of your taskbar).
- Click the ‘cog/settings’ icon.
- Click ‘System’.
- Click ‘Power & battery’.
- Under the ‘Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts’ heading:
- Plugged in: Make my device sleep after: Never
- Plugged in: Make my device hibernate after: Never
- Close this window.
IF YOU DON’T HAVE TEAMVIEWER on your home PC, you must do the following:
- Download TeamViewer by visiting the following: https://get.teamviewer.com/millerit
- When downloaded, open the TeamViewer_Host_Setup.exe file. Say yes/continue to any prompts.
- Click Next.
- Accept the License Agreement and click Continue.
- Reboot your PC and log back in.
- You will be prompted with a ‘Company assignment’ window. Click ‘Allow and finish’.
- When the installation completes, double-click the ‘TeamViewer Host’ icon on your desktop. Here, you will find your TeamViewer ID and TeamViewer Password, as is required on the VPN Access Request form.
You are now ready to complete the form.
